A little about my art

I have drawn and painted my entire life. I never went to college for art but I took countless art classes in high school, by a wonderful art teachers (Marjorie McClure and Tom Wood) Marjorie was also a college professor so our class was run as such. She helped me to get a 4 on my A.P. art test as a Sophomore and a perfect score of 5 my Senior year. I was also a Student body artist which was a juried position under the direction on Tom Wood and was selected with just 4 other students. Since then it's just been practice practice practice. I also paint children murals, portraits and cartoons. I have been selling my altered landscapes at festivals and cons since 2008.

A little about me

I was born on October 30th 1983 in Houston, Texas as the youngest of 8 children. We moved to SLC when I was 6 so I pretty much grew up in Utah. I am very close with my big family and the ever growing number of nephews and nieces (we are currently at 30). I have been married to my wonderful husband Jimmy Martin since September 2006. We have a little half schnauzer mutt rescue dog named Flynn. Jimmy is a local film critic and television personality for KSL. He started his own movie review show called Big Movie Mouth Off that I occasionally guest host with him. He also is part of a popular podcast called Geek Show. The idea to paint on top of old abandoned landscapes came from him back in 2006 when he brought home an old landscape and asked me to paint some zombies on it for his man cave.
